You can’t beat a good sunrise and those at Abadia Retuerta LeDomaine are sensational and differ day by day. Even better when the sun rises relatively late in the day!
These are two of my favourite images of the property – the first (above) taken on 16th October at 7.37 am.
The second (above) was taken on the following day at 7.55 am: the same landscape but a world of difference.

Covering some 700 hectares of prime vineyards and farmlands, the medieval estate dating back to 1146, now known as Abadia Retuerta LeDomaine, is the first property in Spain to have hotel-wide butler service. Rooms start at just euros 290 per night, inclusive of tax and breakfast with discretionary service.
The Estate is around a two hour drive from Madrid (direct flights from London Heathrow Airport with British Airways) or around 45 minutes from Valladolid Airport (direct flights from London Stansted with Ryanair).
